President Obama is proving to be just like the previous presidents, namely Clinton and Carter.
Where is all this change? That’s what Neil Young said after Clinton was elected. I remember, because Clinton talked about change.
The good American people are too busy working for a living every day, raising their families, struggling to keep their marraiges healthy, etc., to actually be involved in politics. So they just take the guy with the biggest smile who talks the smoothest.
I like Obama. However, change is a lie.
He will prove to be more of the same especially when the reality of running a confused, disconnected, pluralistic and materialistic society like the US shows itself as impossible.
Just don’t take away our opportunities and we’ll all survive the lies.

There’s a company in PA that has technology that turns raw sewage into a burnable fuel.
It sounds like a great idea…there is no shortage of sewage, in fact it’s growing by the ton every day. Plus, it gives a use for it instead of sending it to landfills.
Of course, like any new energy though, it is expensive and not competitive with current fuels.
This is another example of how green energy feels good but does not work on a large scale unless the government puts up tons of tax money to prop it up.
Maybe it can become more competitive so we can stop buying from our enemies. The way it is now though, the typical user who is already fighting a growing list of bills just can’t afford it.
Someone come up with an affordable green energy alternative, please.

The worst thing about a bad economy is the lack of available jobs for those who want them.
Forget CEO’s and rich money grubbing pigs losing interest payments on their investments. Forget the lazy parasites who will have less food stamps for their ten illegitimate children. Forget the illegal immigrants who have to go back to where they came from. Forget the corporations who have to drop their already ridiculously high prices to a level that will make their products worth buying.
The real losers are the guys and gals out there all over the world who want to go to a job every day and earn a living, maintain their pride, and secure their productive place in societies. These are the people who make things happen; these are the people who truly make the world worth living in.
When the good paying jobs are gone, the world is a nasty place.
I hope it turns around.

I read today text messaging costs the companies that provide the service almost nothing. Yet I hear horror stories on a regular basis from people whose kids ran up huge charges on texting.
This is another one of those examples that makes me wonder if the free market system really works. I understand if someone is willing to pay a price for a product and a company makes tons of money providing it, it is supposed to boost the economy and represent the American way.
However, I can’t help but also think that when these companies makes huge amounts of money for nothing, they don’t let it “trickle down” into the economy. They essentially hoard it and give it to their top manager suck-ups in the form of ridiculous salaries and bonuses.
Meanwhile the folks who use these services find it increasingly difficult to pay their bills.
And when I think the bills are just hand-outs to corporations who aren’t doing anything to earn it, I smell a rat!
How does the economy benefit when a handful of people get rich while everyone else’s struggle gets worse?
My daughter is not allowed to text and we never do as a household.
Someone enlighten me if possible.
Have a good day.
