Mel Gibson has gone public with his new young girlfriend.
I’ve come to believe it is a fact of life that most men, especially successful men, can not stay with one woman their whole lives without going through extreme pains to do it.
I thinks it rots. However, as a man approaching 50 married for 20 years, I find it harder and harder every day to avoid straying…or I should trying to stray.
I’m not Mel Gibson and I don’t really have opportunities. But if I did, I don’t know…I think I would go.
How do you do it?
Someone tell me how a man with a strong sex drive and desires can stay with one woman all his life and be happy.
I really want to know.

My daughter is a middle school student and they are having their spring concert tonight.
She plays the clarinet.
I’m proud of her for participating. Even though she’s really good too, the important thing is participation.
You start to see in the middle school grades the kids who are fading into the background. THey don’t participate in any extra curricular stuff…music, sports, clubs, etc.
I think they’re missing out. I was like that and I know I missed out on a lot of fun and memories that will last forever.
Being a spectator in life is not as good as being a participator.

It looks like we have another big scare on our hands. The swine flu is topping all the headlines.
I think it was last year the bird flu was the big thing.
There is definitely a risk for these types of diseases, however, I’m a firm believer in the strength of the human body to fend off such diseases.
It’s like nobody is supposed to even get a cold without a major panic.
The media fuels this stuff. The announcers take the opportunity to put in their personal dramatics and opinions.
Just be careful and you should be fine.

What a nice weekend.
Today is Monday and it’s time to go back to work.
I’m essentially leaving one job site for another…this weekend was a totally exhausting exercise in working around the house.
I had to open the pool, mow the lawn, and a list of other chores.
So, work is all I do.
At the end of the day, I’m happiest when I’m working because when there is no work to do, there is nothing else.
I have to work on that too before too long.
How do you relax around the house if you know there is so much work to do?

Now that the US federal government is promoting the availability of stimulus money,
go out and get some.
There are all kinds available. If you are putting in new windows, or building a deck or puttting up alternative solar heating systems, etc., do some research and find out how you can get some government money.
If you don’t get it someone else will.
And, if the greedy corporate theives are raiding the till, shove them out of the way.
We are looking at putting in a new countertop made of recycled materials and we could end up getting thirty percent of the cost taken from our taxes next year.

I’m opening my pool today. I usually wait for the Memorial day holiday but this year the weather is so warm we may want to use it earlier than that.
Right now it is a green blob of swill so I have a lot of work to do. I have to backflush all the leaves and algae out then start throwing bags full of chemicals in.
Owning a pool is not something I would ever do again. The pool came with the house when we purchased it.
It’s a lot of work for something you get three months use.

Well, it’s only mid April and we are looking at 80 degree temperatures this weekend here in northeast PA.
I guess that’s a benefit of global warming.
Anything over 50 is comfortable.
So with the warm weather comes the pool maintenance, lawn maintenance, insect battles, and other toils.
It used to be between winter and summer there was a time where the temperatures would hover around 50. Now it seems to go from winter to summer in the matter of a week or so.

I have to face my bosses today. They are coming up from the head office.
I really don’t like these guys…they’re fat, arrogant, loud-mouthed corporate swindlers.
I’ve worked for them for more than 14 years because I like the job and have very little contact with them on a daily basis.
I can’t say what will happen because when you work for these types you just never know if today they like you or don’t.
THe only thing I know they like is a good ass-kissing. It does not matter if you can do the job or not.
I can’t ass-kiss….I’m just not good at it.
My hope is I walk away with my job intact.

Well last night ….no nightmares. Thank the Lord above.
I took a Xanax nerve pill and it worked. I’ll take on every night for the rest of my life if I have to to avoid those nightmares.
Anyone who faces a similar problem, consider getting a prescription for Xanax. It’s very inexpensive and readily available.
There are some potential addictive concerns with it but overall it is a safe alternative to waking up with your nervous system in a state of heightened agitation which I’m sure is not a good thing.
What are the root causes of nightmares?

I was awoken again last night with wicked nightmares. This one was about being arrested for a serious crime that I did not do.
And sitting there trying to convince the authorities who were convinced of my guilt and planning to kill me was an undescribable horror.
THinking on it now there are people who actually lived that nightmare.
I don’t even want to dream about it. The stress on my nervous system feels like it’s almost fatal.
What can someone do about nightmares?
Can someone tell me?
