Did you turn your power off?
Yesterday everyone was supposed to turn off their lights and appliances and save energy for one hour.
What a neat idea. It feels good doesn’t it?
However, will it make a difference? Will people really use less energy? THey like to tell everyone else to use less, but they don’t use less themselves.
Just about everyone I know can talk and talk about how people should use less energy, drive less, keep their lawns clean, protect the environment, etc.
But when you listen to them you will eventually hear the ways you think they can save and don’t.
I think there are two things that stop people from doing what they want to do and neither is for the good of the environment or their fellow man.
Either they are scared of being punished or they can’t afford what they want. Those two reasons alone stop people from doing what they want.
