Al is staging a protest in front of Bernie Nadoff’s place. He’s saying Nadoff should be in jail for what he did instead of getting the preferential treatment he’s getting now.
Way to go Al.
I hope you can instigate enough trouble for that Nadoff bastard that he gets dragged out into the street and beaten.
That’s what would have happened in other parts of the world.
Part of the problem comes from a lack of government oversight. Investors have no way of knowing if some money grubbing scumbag is running a scheme. Only the government has the time and resources to monitor this crap and protect everyone.
Maybe the government will listen to Al Sharpton and give Nadoff what he deserves. OK, they can’t beat him in the streets but they can lock him up and more importantly, take all his money.

My eleven year old daughter is a very competitive swimmer. She really likes Michael Phelps.
She’s trying to emulate his swimming career and really looks up to him.
Now he’s busted smoking dope. She’s starting to ask questions and we know she’s keeping an eye on his situation.
I told her he made a mistake because he’s too young to handle fame. However, she doesn’t really buy that. I just hope she doesn’t start to make some kind of connection that says since he’s doing dope, it would be OK for her to do so.
She knows we won’t accept that outcome. However, the challenge to keep her away from the stuff that could ruin her has become more difficult.
We hope she understands his doing something stupid does not make it acceptable.
It’s still stupid even if Michael Phelps does it.

My wife had surgery yesterday. She’s coming home today but could have last actually come home last night. Mother had the same surgery twenty years ago and spent a week in the hospital.
Don’t ever doubt the quality of US healthcare. It’s too good!
The professionals in that business deal with the worst ugliest Americans in the most personal way and make them better despite their ugliness.
For example while at that hospital I saw at least three or four huge, morbidly obese, filthy dirty people waddle in to the emergency room. What would the doctor’s conversation with those persons be like? How would the doctor be able to examine their disgusting asses without wanting to just walk away and say, not my problem.
They work very hard and deal with the worst stuff you can imagine. I believe worse than what police deal with.

For some reason Jessica Simpsonn is having a real problem lately. Or at least acting like she is.
I mean it has got to be really so tough to be rich, young, and beautiful. What a hardship.
If it were me, there isn’t anything anybody could say besides “you’re broke and your money is gone,” that would cause me to have a “breakdown.”
Hey Jessica, spend a day slaving in the slushpond of mediocrity worrying every day about whether or not you will have your job, house, family or whatever tomorrow and know what real challenges are like.
The regular people out there can’t relate to the pressure you must feel being famous. I’m sure it is just a terrible nightmare, isn’t it….girl?

OUr dog is nuts. She spends most of her time laying around or sleeping. Then she has these moments where she scampers around the house and the back yard with toys in her mouth.
It’s like she goes from one extreme to the other.
Sometimes we worry about her being bored. Do dogs get bored?
We’re gone all day to work and school with intermittent stops at the house to check on her. And, in July we’re going on a one week vacation leaving her home alone.
We will have sitters come it and feed and check on her..but she’ll be alone for 20 of 24 hours a day.
Hopefully she won’t go into some kind of despair that will cause her to rip the house apart not knowing whether we’re coming home or not.

President Obama is proving to be just like the previous presidents, namely Clinton and Carter.
Where is all this change? That’s what Neil Young said after Clinton was elected. I remember, because Clinton talked about change.
The good American people are too busy working for a living every day, raising their families, struggling to keep their marraiges healthy, etc., to actually be involved in politics. So they just take the guy with the biggest smile who talks the smoothest.
I like Obama. However, change is a lie.
He will prove to be more of the same especially when the reality of running a confused, disconnected, pluralistic and materialistic society like the US shows itself as impossible.
Just don’t take away our opportunities and we’ll all survive the lies.

The guy who makes the girls gone wild videos is in court defending himself again.
I think he’s a lecherous, voyeuristic, immature man. But I have to say the girls seem more than happy to perform.
It seems young women are so hungry for attention they are quick to take off their clothes, tongue kiss each other, fist fight and all other kinds of shenanigans as the sight of a camera and a couple of excited guys.
Girls take a minute and think about what you’re doing. Don’t be stupid.
Just because you’re beautiful and excite the guys out there, take time to use your power for good.
Forget getting attention.
Have pride.

The super bowl is over. Now we can get back to our daily lives.
Actually, I watched some of the game and thought it is shows how great America can be.
I also thought about how we as a nation can celebrate swilling beer, naked and easy sluts, vanity, materialism, arrogance, stupidity, bullying and corruption better than anybody.
The much touted commericals were numerous examples of really how stupid we can be.
My daughter who is eleven years old kept looking at me saying, is that supposed to be funny?
She also took notice to how much effort is taken to make beer seem like this magical and empowering miracle solution. When all it does it make people stagger, puke and act like monkeys…male and female.
